Door Prize FAQ
-
What is the Door Prize Draw?
-
Each of our vendors donates a prize (minimum $10 value) to our Door Prize Draw. We group the donations into prize baskets, typically valued at $400+. Customers can enter the draw during the market, and at the end of the day we use an online service to draw the winners. If you win, we’ll give you a call. Winners must be able to pick up their prizes at Exhibition Park on the same day as the Lethbridge Handmade Market.
-

-
Sounds amazing! How do I enter?
-
We’ll post QR codes in the Door Prize area of the Lethbridge Handmade Market. Scan any code, fill out your details, and boom you’re entered!
-

-
How do I scan a QR code?
-
Apple: Your phone’s camera should do this automatically.
-
Android: Websearch “QR code scanner”. You can use one for free online or download an app.
-
Look I am really, really not that tech savvy: Alternatively, you can type in the link under the QR code. Or ask a volunteer for help!

Kids & Families
-
Are there any activities for kids at the Lethbridge Handmade Market?
-
YES! We have activities for kids of all ages in our KidsCreate area.
-

-
What are the activities in KidsCreate?
-
KidsCreate hosts colouring, a market wide scavenger hunt, button making, a seasonal craft, and sometimes a community art project. We also have a variety of free resources for families available, donated by local organizations.
-

-
How does the scavenger hunt work?
-
You can pick up a scavenger hunt card and a pencil at KidsCreate. Our vendors have posted pictures on 8.5x11 pages that match the ones on your card. As you walk through the market, keep an eye out for those pictures, and cross them off when you find them! When it’s time to go, bring your card back to KidsCreate for a PRIZE.
-
This activity is FREE. It’s similar to I-Spy, so it’s great for ALL AGES.
-

-
How does the button maker work?
-
We have templates and colouring pages so that you can create your own button at KidsCreate! All buttons are $2.00. You can also bring a photo or other pre-made design (as long as it’s your own). Our finished buttons are 2” wide, so your design must fit within a 2” circle.
-
We also have a selection of pre-made buttons available for sale for $2.00. All profits from our button sales are donated to charity.
-

-
What age do you need to be to participate in KidsCreate activities?
-
Our activities are open to all kids and kids at heart-- there is no age limit (although we generally reserve scavenger hunt prizes for kids 12 and under). We do our best to structure activities so that people of any age can participate.
